STAINLESS STEEL GABIONS

Gabion Supply is a top U.S. source for stainless steel gabions. We deliver durable baskets and mattresses, essential for premium gabion structures.

Benefits of Using Stainless Steel Gabions

The benefits of using stainless steel gabions are clear. Stainless steel excels in building for coastal environments with high salinity due to its unmatched durability against corrosion caused by saltwater.

These baskets are ideal for safeguarding shorelines and promoting vegetation growth to support and fortify waterways and soil banks. Stainless steel gabions offer flexibility, making them an ideal choice for earthquake or rain-prone regions.

Locally sourced natural stones in gabion baskets offer eco-friendly erosion control for landscaping and foundations. Sustainable construction projects need less drainage when using flexible materials, making them an eco-friendly choice.

Stainless Steel Gabion Applications

Stainless steel gabions are dependable and durable for road construction, shoreline stabilization and architectural features. Gabion walls are perfect for both aesthetic and security purposes, and their versatility and porosity make them great for landscaping and military uses.

Find all the gabion baskets you need in different sizes and shapes at Gabion Supply for your construction needs. We even offer custom sizes and mesh openings, available upon request.

Opting for stainless steel construction may seem costly, but its exceptional durability in harsh conditions ultimately makes it a cost-efficient investment. Our gabions offer unparalleled project protection with high tensile strength and resistance to wear and tear.

At Gabion Supply, we take pride in the craftsmanship of our weld mesh gabions. Constructed with Galfan wire, our gabions are known for their high quality and durability. "Stainless Steel" is the general name for a large family of alloy steels that contain at least 10.5% chromium as part of their composition. At and above this level of chromium, a complex chrome-oxide surface layer forms that prevents further oxygen atoms from penetrating into the steel and thus protects the iron in the matrix from rusting. This layer is what makes the steel "stainless." Higher levels of chromium and the addition of other alloying elements such as molybdenum and nickel enhance this protective barrier and further improve the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel. There are many different types of stainless, but for rigging products, the most commonly used are the 300 series stainless steels (type 304 & type 316)
